Little Village School ("LVS," "we," "us") respects your family's privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through lvsaz.org, how we use it, and how we protect it. We collect only what we need to respond to you and to enroll your student.
Information we collect
When you contact us: your name, email address, phone number, and message.
When you enroll: the parent or guardian's name, email address, phone number, and physical home address; each student's name, date of birth, and grade; photos or files of birth certificates and proof-of-residency documents (such as household bills, address verification letters, or an Address Confidentiality Program card); and your electronic signature. We save your progress after each step so you can finish later, which means we may receive partial enrollment information even if you do not submit.
Automatically: limited technical information such as IP address, browser type, and request times, used to keep the site secure (for example, to block automated abuse). Cloudflare Turnstile may process device and browser signals to confirm that a real person is submitting a form.
How we use information
- To process your student's enrollment and related Empowerment Scholarship Account (ESA) paperwork.
- To contact you about your enrollment, including reminders and a secure link to finish an incomplete enrollment.
- To answer questions you send us.
- To protect the security of our site, our families, and our records, and to meet legal obligations.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
How we protect information
- Every connection to lvsaz.org is encrypted with HTTPS.
- Uploaded documents and sensitive enrollment details are encrypted with AES-256 before they are stored. Documents are never available at a public web address.
- Only authorized LVS staff can view enrollment information, and only after signing in with a strong password and two-factor authentication. Staff access to documents is logged.
- Resume links are unique, hard to guess, and expire.
When we share information
We share information only as needed to serve your family:
- With the Arizona Department of Education or its authorized ESA program partners, when needed to process your student's ESA and enrollment.
- With service providers that host our website and deliver our email (such as Cloudflare and Resend), who may process information only on our behalf.
- When required by law, or to protect the safety of a student or others.
Cookies
We use only strictly necessary cookies: one keeps your enrollment in progress on your device, and another keeps staff signed in securely. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
How long we keep information
We keep enrollment records for as long as needed to enroll your student and to meet recordkeeping and audit requirements, then securely delete them. Incomplete enrollments may be deleted after an extended period of inactivity. You may ask us to delete your information at any time, subject to legal requirements.
Your choices
You may ask to review, correct, or delete the information you have given us by contacting us using the details below. We will verify your identity before making changes.
Children's privacy
We collect student information from parents and legal guardians, not directly from children. Students' education records are handled in accordance with applicable federal and Arizona law.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the updated version here and update the effective date above.
